Remembering the Past to pave the way for the Future.

Its been 5 years since the passing of our late mother. She is our source of inspiration to continue with the challenges in life.

She was diagnosed with cancer, won the battle but 10 years after she had a relapse and that was the start of her health spiraling downwards.

Before she was sick, Our mother was a great cook or should i say a superb "chef". Its because she could whip up a great dish with ease. Her signature dish was Chicken Pie, Epok2 Sayur, Koleh2 Kacang and many more. A lot of people knows her talents in cooking. I know it first hand as I was the one to have always helped her in the kitchen. I would always complaint to her for accepting so many orders. But now i regret for not learning from her all her recipes, her tips and tricks in the kitchen.

In our early stages in life we had not much luxuries but she help our father by taking orders from people who had special events. She would cook with love and that showed from the response she had from her customers. She proved to those who look down on our family, she fought her cancer and lived her live to the fullest and even managed to go Umrah. And she has never loved me and my brother any less come what may.

Being a parent myself, i now realized the lessons she taught us. Lessons that that was not taught verbally but taught through actions. That is to always love your family and never give up hope when there seems to be no hope at all. To leave everything to Allah swt cause our life, our death, our sustenance, our health is all in His hands. But we can only strive to be the best that we can be.

To our late mother, you will always be in our hearts. To us, be it 10 years, 20 years or even 30 years it seems that you had just left this world yesterday. Know that your sons will be the best son, father and person that you have molded us to be.

Bake Sale 2014 at The Baking Studio.

First of all, we from Pretty Bites would like to say 'Thank You' to all those who made time to visit our booth at the Bake Sale, and not forgetting The Baking Studio for giving us the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful event.

There were a few other bakers at the event whom presented delicious delicacies and we had second thoughts on how our sales would be. But with God's Grace our product was well received. Our best sellers were the Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake and the Cake Pops.

Push Pop Cake..

Remember this simple chocolate ice cream in our old neighbourhood shop?

Simple yet tasted good back then. (Ooohh... i do missed this!)

We bring the history and nostalgic of our past thru baking...

Here we try and create a Push Pop Rainbow Cake.

Notice the similarity of the 2 Ice-cream & Cake.

Both needs to be push to enjoy it.

Filled with most favourite nutella or choice of flavoured buttercream.

With its vibrant rainbow colours, instantly it became the childrens' (and even aunties) favourite at a party.

HomeMade Caramel...

Its nice to be able to make this in my own kitchen.

With sugar, butter, cream & pinch of sea salt mix together.

The combination creates a smooth & silky salted caramel.

The versatility of a caramel are so proven.

Caramel could be eaten with ice-creams, brownies, cakes & what ever you can imagine.

Even the kids love them as a spread on a bread.

Modern baking has added the nutella to boost up the taste bud.

We add these secret taste of nutella to our Swiss Roll, Cupcakes filling & alot more.

Pretty Bites 1st Wedding Cake

This was the very 1st time Pretty Bites did a Wedding Cake. Initialy we had our worries as its our first but the end product turn out great. The bride and groom was happy with how it looked and tasted. Thumbs up for the Pretty Bites crew. A job well done!!!
